Taste Bay of Islands Festival 2009

Planning is well under way for this years festival, to be held once again at Waitaha, Copthorne Hotel & Resort, Bay of Islands, by the Waitangi Bridge.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 10th 2009 Now in its 7th year, and with over 30 stalls, the event has grown to be one of Northlands premier food & wine events that attracts over a 1000 people.

Starting at 10.00am and finishing at 4.00pm, the public gain entry for $5 and then have the opportunity to taste the finest foods and beverages that the Far North has to offer, both fresh produce and prepared products, all in a weatherproof space. Live entertainment will be there for the enjoyment of all throughout the day. The day will also incorporate the final of the Kids Can Cook competition, facilitated by top chefs, Paul Jobin and Hughie Blues.

Taste Bay of Islands will, once again culminate with the Kauri Tucker dinner at the Woolshed Waitangi. Diners will be bused from the Copthorne Hotel & Resort to the venue where they will be treated to a signature dish from five of Northlands top eateries. Always a sell-out evening, tickets will once again be $79 for the five course dinner, with the Northland Wine Association facilitating a cash bar, with wines to match every course.
